I started NomNom because I got TIRED of online ordering platforms like Grubhub and DoorDash acting like the TicketMasters of foodservice.
Growing up, I was always exposed to the restaurant business. My mother was a chef at a Korean restaurant in the heart of Midtown Manhattan so I know the profit margins are razor thin and how cutthroat the competition is.
And as I grew up, I watched companies like restaurant marketplaces like Grubhub and DoorDash experience meteoric rises in popularity due to small mom and pop restaurants needing a quick and easy way to accept online orders and delivery solutions. But none of these companies truly understood the foodservice industry - the competitiveness, the razor thin profit margins, the unpredictable cost of ingredients, and the seasonality of business.
After college, I started working in big tech but disliked the greed behind all their business models. None of the companies I worked for actually cares about their own customers’ success. After a decade, I left corporate America and returned to my family roots.
Using my knowledge in building scalable cloud software solutions and my life experience in the foodservice industry, I started NomNom - a no commission online ordering platform designed specifically for the foodservice industry.
NomNom is my baby. I love what I do and I want everyone to know that NomNom will forever root for YOUR success. We will stay commission free and remain a flat-fee platform so our customers can focus on making great food instead.
